FAQs
How do I make a booking?
The quickest and easiest way to book is through our new online booking service EventBooker. Alternatively you can use a printable booking form (PDF, 56 KB). Booking forms are also sent in our regular marketing despatches.
Can I reserve a place provisionally?
No, but this isn't usually necessary. All bookings must be received in writing in order for us to confirm that the course can run, ensuring fairness to delegates.
I haven't had any confirmation, so am I booked on?
If the date of your course is more than one month from now, it is unlikely that your form has been processed. If your form has been processed, you will receive an automatic confirmation. We request that delegates contact us only 1-2 weeks before the course if they haven't received confirmation.
Please can you send me details on a course?
Information on all our courses can be found on EventBooker or obtained and printed from the training events page. Alternatively please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with the information you require.
Are there always places available?
Places cannot be guaranteed, but in most cases bookings can be accommodated as venues are booked with spare capacity. The exception to this is IT courses, where places are strictly limited. As a guide, if the course date is more than one month from now, there should be places still available. In all cases, it is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.
Is the course still running?
The course is checked for viability approximately 2 weeks before the course date and you will be informed of any cancellation by post,/email or fax.
I want to attend a course, can you tell me where the venue is?
You will be informed of the venue and sent confirmation once a booking has been made. Detailed information on local transport links can be made available.
Can I cancel a booking without charge?
All cancellations must be made in writing. Providing that notification is received within 10 working days before the course date, a cancellation will be made without charge. After that point, the full cost of the course is due.
Can I transfer my booking?
Yes, providing that notification is received no later than two weeks before the course date.
How do I pay?
You can request an invoice to be raised and sent to your centre by ticking the appropriate box when you make your booking. You will need to include your full centre name and address if you wish to be invoiced. Invoices are sent to a centre within two weeks of the event taking place. Payments can also be made using credit or debit cards when you book online.
Does the course fee include VAT?
Mill Wharf Training, as part of OCR, is VAT exempt; therefore the course fee stated has no additional VAT. There are no hidden extras.
Do I need to send a purchase order with a booking form?
It is not necessary to send us a copy of your purchase order at the time of booking; the booking can be processed without it. Once a purchase order has been raised this can be forwarded to us. However, please ensure that permission has been gained to attend a course before submitting a booking form.
Will the course be offered later in the term in my area?
Information on all future course dates is available on our training events page.
Can you tell me who the course is aimed at?
Please read the individual training leaflets to find out who the courses are aimed at. These can be found on the training events page.
Can I have this course delivered in my centre?
Almost all our courses can be delivered in your centre. If the course advertised does not meet all your requirements you can liaise with our training providers to tailor the course. For more information please contact us.
What are the course start and finish times?
All courses begin at 09:30 with welcome and refreshments, with the first session beginning at 09:45. End times vary but most finish at or around 16:00.
What if I'm going to be late for a course?
Please telephone the venue where the course is to be held; they will then pass this information on to the tutor. Contact details for the venue can be found on the map.
Are Mill Wharf courses related to OCR qualifications?
Mill Wharf Training courses are generic and suitable for all awarding bodies (unless stated otherwise in the course leaflet).
If your question has still not been answered, please contact the Mill Wharf team on 0845 409 4570 or email information@mill-wharf-training.co.uk and we will ensure that your query is resolved.
